‘Avengers: Endgame’ just broke a record in presale tickets

“Avengers: Endgame” has set a new record for presale tickets, according to Fandango.
- “Endgame” topped “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in its first-day presales record category, which tracks the advanced ticket sales for movies within the first 24 hours.
- “The Last Jedi” ranked as the film with the third-highest amount of presale tickets sold, followed by “Star Wars: Rogue One” and “Avengers: Infinity War.”
- And, yes, if you’re keeping track at home — three of those films are “Star Wars” movies and two of them are “Avengers.” All five movies come from Disney.
#AvengersEndgame gave The Force Awakens the *snap* as the top-selling pre-sale title in the first 24 hours.

Presale tickets went on sale Tuesday morning, which prompted fans to flock to theater websites to order their tickets, CNN reports.

“Endgame” topped the record in only six hours. But, according to CNN, buying tickets led to some chaos for “Endgame” fans. For example, AMC and Fandango both experienced crashes on their website.
AMC tweeted about the incident.
- “We want everyone to be able to grab their ‘Avengers: Endgame’ tickets, but it looks like we’ve gotten Thanos’ snap,” the tweet said. “We’re working on getting things back up and running, and in the meantime, please keep trying our website and our partner sites!”
