KSL NewsRadio, KSL TV, and KSL Podcasts Honored with Prestigious Edward R. Murrow Awards

SALT LAKE CITY–KSL NewsRadio, KSL TV, and KSL Podcasts have been awarded five regional Edward R. Murrow awards.
KSL NewsRadio won in three categories: Breaking News, for coverage of the shooting at Hunter High School; News Series, for a two-part election series called Follow the Ballot reported by Lindsay Aerts; and for best Newscast for comprehensive coverage of a freeway shutdown on I-15
KSL TV’s Mike Headrick was awarded Excellence in Writing for his creative coverage of a flying manhole cover accident; you can see the entry here.
In addition, KSL Podcasts was awarded a Murrow for “The Letter”, reported by Amy Donaldson and produced by Andrea Smardon. “The Letter” tells the story of the 1996 murder of Zachary Snarr and attempted murder of Yvette Rodier in Salt Lake City and how one letter leads to a path of forgiveness and redemption.
