Is Disneyland really California’s most expensive theme park?
May 06, 2019
Disneyland isn’t the most expensive California theme park.
Spending a day at Disneyland is cheaper than spending a day at Universal Studios Hollywood, which has been identified as the most expensive theme park when you factor in tickets, parking, food and hotels, according to a new report from HomeToGo’s California Theme Park Index.
It costs about $289 for a person to spend an entire day at Universal Studios.
Meanwhile, it costs about $249 to spend an entire day at Disneyland and California Adventure.
Knott’s Berry Farm remains the cheapest theme park. An average day there costs about $128 per person, according to HomeToGo.
“Rather than rely on ticket prices alone — the budgetary Achilles heel of the Disney parks — HometoGo included the usual expenditures for an out-of-town visitor,” according to the Arizona Republic.
