Universal Studios has released new information about its brand-new Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure ride premiering this June.
In a video uploaded to YouTube, actor Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and “Harry Potter” art director Alan Gilmore, who curated the Magical Creatures ride, walk viewers through what they can expect.
Here’s what we know:
Guests will first join Hagrid’s Care of Magical Creatures class and then board enchanted motorbikes that Gilmore says are “unlike any ride vehicle you’ve ever been on before” and are specially designed to simulate flight.
Guests will have a different experience depending on whether they board the sidecar or the motorbike, according to Gilmore.
The ride is a twisting roller coaster that takes guests through the Forbidden Forest with Hagrid as their guide.
More than 1,000 live trees were planted in the park to bring the Forbidden Forest to life, according to Gilmore.
The ride will go forward and backward at speeds up to 50 mph.
Among other creatures, guests will see:
- Fluffy the three-headed dog
- Cornish Pixies
- Centaurs
- Devil’s Snare
- A creature that has never been featured in the films
According to Gilmore, the ride will feature new environments, high levels of storytelling and “the best use of technology throughout.”
Gilmore calls it “the most highly themed, immersive coaster experience ever created.”
Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure will open June 13 at Universal Orlando Resort.
