If you’re wanting to see “Avengers: Endgame” the day it comes out and haven’t bought your ticket yet, you may have to pay a pretty penny to get one.
What’s happening: After seeing a massive first week in sales, “Avengers: Endgame” tickets are now being sold on resale markets for thousands of dollars.
- One seller from Reno, Nevada, has two “Endgame” tickets for May 3 listed on eBay for $25,000.
- Another has eight opening night tickets to the Regal Majestic Silver Springs, Maryland, location starting at a $5,000 bid on eBay.
- Are you only looking for four opening night tickets? No problem. You can also get those for $7,000 on eBay.
Fandango editor Erik Davis tweeted April 2 that “Endgame” not only beat the record for the biggest presale title ever in its first 24 hours, but it accomplished that feat in only six hours.
“I hesitate to call #AvengersEndgame the most anticipated movie of all time, but in all honesty the numbers this one is putting up are extraordinary,” Davis added. “I have been doing this for a good while – you all know this – and I have never seen anything like this before.”
THIS JUST IN: Not only did #AvengersEndgame become the biggest pre-sale title ever in the first 24 hours, but it accomplished this feat in only six hours. A groundbreaking and historic accomplishment. https://t.co/k2Dahcl0pB

According to Variety, the film is headed for a $200 to $250 million domestic launch, making it the best debut of the year in North America and one of the largest debuts in history.
Advanced ticket sales were delayed for many buyers, as the amount of web traffic on ticket sales websites caused several to crash, according to Variety.
“Avengers: Endgame” hits theaters April 26.
