Did Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ film just cast a ‘Stranger Things’ star?

The “Black Widow” solo movie may have just snagged David Harbour and Rachel Weisz for its cast.
David Harbour, who plays local cop Jim Hopper on “Stranger Things,” will reportedly join the “Black Widow” cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
- It’s unclear what Harbour’s role will be in the Marvel film, which will be the second Marvel film that will have a female lead, this time with Scarlett Johansson.
Meanwhile, Variety reports that Weisz is circling a key role for “Black Widow.” Weisz reportedly has a strong interest in joining the cast.
Description: The “Black Widow” film “will be an internationally set story centering on Natasha Romanoff, a spy and assassin who grew up being trained by the KGB before breaking from their grasp and becoming an agent of SHIELD and Avenger,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Date: The film’s scheduled to start filming in June.
Cast: Australian filmmaker Cate Shortland signed on as a director, according to The Guardian. Florence Pugh has already been cast as well, according to Deadline.
“Black Widow” will likely be a prequel set decades before “Avengers: Endgame,” which drops on April 26.
