People are freaking out over Costco’s new giant lobster claws.
The big box store is selling large lobster claws that weigh about 3-5 pounds.
Popular food blog Jules Food shared an image of the claw, which was discovered at a Costco store in Newport Beach, California.

- “This thing is unreal!” the account posted. “I mean, come on. I’ve seen a few big claws at Costco before, but this one’s crazy! We just had to get it. It might be (half) it’s weight in shell, but worth it already. The family’s had their fun photo ops, now it’s going on the grill. I can’t promise an inside pic, they’re too anxious to eat this monster. I hope we have enough butter?”
Twitter freaked out over the claws:

Yes, but: The lobster claws may be a little creepy and eerie, but, according to Today.com, they’re only available in California so far. No one has seen them anywhere else.
Flashback: The Instagram account @Wine_Country_Foodies shared a photo back in February of a 4.7-pound lobster claw package that cost $46.95, or about $9.99 per pound.

According to USA Today, Costco sells a six-pack of live Maine lobsters weighing 1.25 pounds each for $129.99.
Costco is known for selling exceptionally large items. Back in January, the company’s 27-pound bucket of mac and cheese went viral. The bucket reportedly had a 20-year shelf life.
