Jim and Pam are not America’s favorite TV office couple, according to recent study. Here’s who is by state

“I’m just a Jim looking for his Pam.”
If you’ve used a dating app once, you’ve probably seen any variation of pickup lines and bios mentioning the beloved couple from “The Office.”
Americans are obsessed with Jim and Pam, but as it turns out, the couple may not be America’s favorite TV office romance after all.
What happened: Business.org conducted a study recently to learn who America’s favorite television office couple is.
They started with a list of popular workplace couples and analyzed Google Trends data from each state over the past 10 years to learn what couples people were searching for.
Though Jim and Pam are the favorites in many states the couple barely lost the number one spot as America’s favorite couple to their fictional coworkers Kelly and Ryan.
Here are the results:
Most beloved TV workplace romances
- Kelly and Ryan (“The Office”)
- Jim and Pam (“The Office”)
- Mulder and Scully (“X-Files”)
- Meredith and Derek (“Grey’s Anatomy”)
- Sheldon and Amy (“Big Bang Theory”)
Least beloved TV workplace romances
- Angela and Andy (“The Office”)
- Danny and Lindsay (“CSI:NY”)
- Felicity and Ray (“Arrow”)
- Van Pelt and Rigsby (“The Mentalist”)
- Charlie and Amita (“Numb3rs”)
“The closest we can figure,” reported Business.org, “is people in Arkansas, Delaware, Iowa, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and West Virginia just really love all the comedic elements of Kelly and Ryan’s relationship.”
Other surprises: Another result that may surprise “Parks and Recreation” fans is that Leslie and Ben didn’t figure higher on the list. The couple only appears in the No. 1 spot for Massachusetts.
