Watch: Steve Carell stars in Pepsi commercial with Cardi B and Lil Jon, and it’s ‘OK’

Jan 28, 2019

By Herb Scribner

Steve Carell decided to take on a new role for the upcoming Pepsi Super Bowl commercial, and it’s not Michael Scott.

The ad, which you can watch below, shows Carell sitting at a restaurant when he overhears a waiter asking a fellow guest who asked for Coke soda, “Is Pepsi OK?”

  • Carell blasts the waiter, saying that he must say “OK” with pride and not passively. He then shares how he would say the phrase.
  • Lil Jon and Cardi B then both offer their version of “OK.” Lil Jon’s is more of a “OH-KAYYY” and Cardi B’s sounds like “Okurrrr.”
  • Carell ends the commercial by impersonating Cardi B and totally fails.

See the commercial below.

Pepsi is definitely more than OK. It’s OKAYYYYYY or Okurrrrrrr or whatever Steve Carell uses as his next catchphrase. #PepsiMoreThanOK pic.twitter.com/fmspoU61ND

More Cardi: Cardi B will perform during the Super Bowl’s music festival, Uproxx notes.

Jeff Bridges announced he will return as The Dude for his Super Bowl commercial. We saw a glimpse of that commercial online Monday.
