Ariana Grande drops ‘Thank U, Next’ track list; here’s what to expect from her new album

Ariana Grande released the full track list for her upcoming album, “Thank U, Next.”

The album will be released Feb. 8.

Title: The album shares the name with the hit song “Thank U, Next,” which was a song from Grande addressing many of her ex-boyfriends.

First single: According to Variety, the hit song, released Nov. 3, 2018, was Grande’s first song to debut at the No. 1 spot. She released a follow-up called “7 Rings” on Jan. 18.

Grande’s previous album, “Sweetener,” dropped back in August 2018.

What it’ll have: Grande said the new album will focus on heartbreak and the tragedies she’s experienced in the last year, according to Bustle.

She told Billboard she started recording after her longtime friend and ex-boyfriend Mac Miller passed away.
She said she wrote the entire album in one week.
“This (album’s) not particularly uplifting,” Grande said. “A lot of it sounds really upbeat, but it’s actually a super sad chapter.”
She said the album will have “feminine energy and champagne and music and laughter and crying.”
