“Star Wars” actor Adam Driver says he knew what’s to come in the sequel “Star Wars” trilogy long before fans.
Driver, who previously starred on the HBO show “Girls,” told Deadline he was given one crucial piece of information about the series that impacted how he played the role of the villainous Kylo Ren.
- “With ‘Girls,’ there really wasn’t an end in sight, so it was fun to develop it as I went, and to think about where it was all going,” Driver said. “With ‘Star Wars,’ I had one piece of information on where it was all going, and that’s where it has been in my head for a long time, and things were building towards that.”
He said having that “piece of information” made it easier to make filming feel theatrical.
He didn’t elaborate on that crucial piece of information.
Flashback: Driver dodged a question about “Episode IX” back in November. Variety asked him about the film and he said, “I’m not touching that one.”
- He previously told Vulture that he had an ending in mind for Kylo Ren.
- “That’s hard to say because we’re working towards something in particular with that character,” Driver said. “I don’t want to give anything away.”
Others: As ComicBook.com reports, actor Richard E. Grant, who will have a role in “Episode IX,” recently said he wants to talk to his family about his role but he has been sworn to secrecy.
