Imagine Dragons singer Dan Reynolds and his wife Aja Volkman announce they are ‘rebuilding’ after split

Imagine Dragons singer Dan Reynolds and his wife Aja Volkman may be doing “whatever it takes” to stay together.
What’s going on: Reynolds and his wife Volkman are mending their relationship, which had appeared severed months ago, according to multiple reports.
- “Last year we killed each other and now we are rebuilding,” Volkman said in an Instagram post.
- “I know that it’s been a crazy road,” she wrote. “It’s killed us both in so many moments … you can become your worst self in the eye of a giant storm. You almost have to. It’s a rite of passage. It’s the only road to a better existence. A more mature sense of self. An honest unabashed willingness to die a million deaths just to be sincere. That’s what we have done. And now. Honesty. That’s all we need. Continue to rip the band-aid off baby. I’ll do it with you. I’ll walk right through it and love every minute.”
- Volkman previously shared a photo of her and Reynolds kissing on New Year’s Eve, saying, “The blurriest confirmation that 2019 is at least getting off to a good start.”
- Reynolds said on Twitter that he feels like a “middle school kid” because of their relationship.
not a perfect husband (love you @RealAjaVolkman ) and certainly find myself feeling like a middle school kid that wants to hide in a hole and just make make music for my dad and family.
but all your words and letters keep me going. love you all. may this year be our best.

Flashback: As I reported in May, Reynolds and his wife announced they were splitting up. They said the divorce had an effect on their children.
- “After 7 beautiful years together, Aja and I’s marriage has come to an end,” the singer tweeted on April 26. “Our children continue to be the most important thing in our lives, & we will continue to co-parent them with all our love.”

- Volkman shared a statement at the time, too.
- “I am grateful for all the abundance I have experienced in my life with Dan,” she wrote. “Life doesn’t always go as planned, but to live is a blessing. As they always say, it’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.”
The couple have three daughters, Arrow, and twins Gia James and Cocoa Rae, according to Billboard.
