Disney teases ‘all-changing’ and ‘bombastic’ ending to ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in leaked press release
Dec 19, 2018
SALT LAKE CITY — Disney released a new teaser press release for “Avengers: Endgame,” and it has minds spinning, CBR reports.
The German press release promises a “game-changing” showdown for “Endgame,” along with an ending that will finish with a “bombastic bang.”
Here’s the full statement:
- “It is the most expected trailer of the year. What started with ‘Iron Man’ in 2008, is going to end with a bombastic bang,” the release read. “After lots of adventures and the most dramatic final in the recent movie history of ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ all threads of the Marvel Cinematic Universe converge to the ultimate, game-changing showdown.”
Expectations: “Endgame” will signal the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s third phase of films, which began with “Captain America: Civil War.” The universe will pick up with “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”
- “Expect Marvel to move on from old-timers Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. following ‘Endgame,’ and hand the reins to relative newcomers like Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange,” Uproxx reports.
More details: “Endgame” directors Joe and Anthony Russo told Business Insider they plan to write an ending that will satisfy their goals rather than the fans.
- “When Joe and I got hired to direct ‘Winter Soldier,’ that movie was many multiples larger than anything we’d ever done before as filmmakers,” Anthony Russo told Business Insider. “But the way we work as filmmakers is we have to satisfy ourselves first and foremost. If we’re making a movie that excites us, that’s the best we can do. We can’t predict if people are going to like it, we just know whether we like it. That’s how we’ve made every one of our Marvel movies and it’s how we’re making this one. For all of the anticipation and anxiety about it, nothing serves Joe and I better than staying focused on the story we’re trying to tell and telling it the best way we can.”
Flashback: Disney released the trailer for “Endgame” two weeks ago. The new film looks like it’ll pick up right where “Infinity War” ended.
