KIRO’s Dave Ross celebrates 40th anniverary with ceremonial first pitch at Mariners game

Sep 14, 2018

Seattle–The Seattle Mariners celebrated KIRO broadcaster Dave Ross as he threw out the first pitch before their game on September 12th. For forty years, listeners in the Pacific Northwest have tuned in to listen to Dave Ross informed, educate and delight generations.

Ross said he was afraid to throw a baseball. He explained the reasons in an article on MyNorthwest.com. “For me, it’s throwing a baseball – a silly but real fear that dates back to little league. An so of course, as fate would have it, I would be invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Seattle Mariners game,” said Ross.

You can watch him throw the first pitch here.
