SEATTLE–KIRO Radio’s Rachel Belle and Dave Ross each won a national Edward R. Murrow award.
Rachel won in the category of Feature Reporting for her story on the Homeless Girl Scout Troop at Mary’s Place:
Dave Ross won for one of his CBS Radio Commentaries as he channeled his inner M.C. Hammer on a parody song on President Trump entitled “Can’t Touch Him.”
The National Murrow Awards are arguably the most prestigious honor in Broadcast Journalism. There were over 4,400 entries submitted this year from stations across North America.
KIRO Radio has now been honored with 14 Murrow awards.
