Sports 620 KTAR joined forces with News-Talk 92.3 KTAR, 98.7 The Peak and others for a Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive August 1 – August 31, 2010 to benefit St. Vincent de Paul and the countless people it helps on a daily basis. KTAR listeners were asked to contribute jars of peanut butter and jelly or make monetary donations at any of the 80 Bashas and Food City grocery stores across the Valley. Sports 620 KTAR contributed $12,500 worth of air time and $6,000 of web resources to promote the event, with additional on-site presence valued at $7,450. Proceeds from the drive were doled out to needy Valley families. In total, the Peanut Butter & Jelly drive accrued 822 jars of jelly and 1,118 jars of peanut butter and raised $52,227 for St. Vincent de Paul.
